jb awesome share and pics. I agree with what pc said. Would not want to fish where it was that crowded. You have 2 lines of fishermen there. What happens if someone gets tangled up with 3 other guys? You have to have a warrior mentality to deal with that. BTW, nice fish!

fishrich I had the same frustration last night. Fished moco in the back. There was so much bait around. Blues were periodically busting, far out. Could not get a hit for over an hour. Finally managed some action when the tide started coming in, and tossing a small rattletrap and jigging it while retrieving. For all the internet bravado guys saying how easy it is to catch bluefish, these were not easy fish for sure with all the bait. Felt lucky to be able to land 3, lost a few others.

Three of us fished MoCo in the back from 2:30 pm till dark in a few different spots. A slow pick in all spots. Not as much peanut bunker or fish as earlier in the week, but we managed to catch a few blues up to 4 pounds, a couple short bass and a keeper fluke that we couldn't keep. Fish preferred rubber shads today.

Thanks for the heads up capt. Lots of small bait in the surf, looks like rainfish and spearing. Been getting snapper blues for the last 2 days near the park. Ava 007s doing the trick. Heard some whispers of albies but haven't seen any in the surf zone yet. Strange year.

Most likely my last (weekend) trip of the year to Salmon River for 2017 especially with stripers & blackfish around the corner.

Word is beyond out and crowds are out of control, it was fun while it lasted!

Ended up landing 7 out of 21 in the **** show on Saturday.

Nice going. Water in the CM area has been a little sporty lately. Have been doing more surfing than fishing.

Finally got the boat back out Sunday evening looking for some weakfish.

Three of us ended up landing 24 (actual count) between 16-27.5" before calling it a night and it felt like we dropped just as many.

We had a couple of triple headers but it's hard to take pictures of them when there is only three of us.

Beautiful weakies dude. Have been looking for them in the back of OC, only finding the 10-15 inchers so far.

Gave it a try last night in OC. Picked up a few small weakfish in the back, pink finS and 1/2 oz jig. Went to Is beach this am for some quick casts. Picked up a coupla snappers right at sunrise, one short tiny bass. Ava 017. Lots of bait that size around, but the winds were picking up so I cut the trip short. May try again this weekend. Middle of october stripers and weakies should be in full effect. Good luck out there.

Fished a few spots in rb on yesterday outgoing tide in the dark. Got 2 small stripers, few small blues and one nasty cow nose ray. All on peanut bunker fresh netted.

^^^^Weaks seem loaded up in RB, at least my friends on the boats say so. Was out the last few times looking for some southern speedsters. Was out today, not a touch, building S wind. Thinking of making a trip up N. The albie action has been pretty spotty in NJ this year. At least for me, from the surf.

So in the spirit of constantly exploring different fisheries...we went sharking last Saturday.

Had enough blue shark activity in the slick to keep you from falling asleep and Ken even landed one on a fluke rod...lol

While we were trying to unhook that one we hooked a decent mako near the boat that ended up going airborne twice before the hook pulled.

Time to switch over to what we do best...stripers

Got into a few short stripes, and some decent size blues last night in the back. Found a place away from the crowds and wind. Bucktails.
