    Default Laptops?

Looking for a laptop. Wanted to get a Dell because of the good rep, but some people said it has gone downhill. What are some of the best laptops for everyday use?. Not a gamer, just want a laptop to surf the net, wireless capacity, and the ability to send and receive e-mail without too many hassles.

I got a MacBook and I'm very happy with it. 2.4ghz, dual core processor, 2gb ram (but now may be available with up to 4gb, get the extra ram if you will have a lot of applications open at once, or some gaming), 160gb HD. Macs are trouble free.

Recently got an HP Pavilion. I like the LightScribe feature, burn alot of discs so that comes in handy.

I would second the comments about Dell. They grew too big, and can't handle the level of cust service needed to make people happy. Their products are good, but if you count on never needing customer service, you will be ok.

There are some good sites to check for deals, hope this is ok:

    newegg, fatwallet, slickdeals, xpbargains.com
