Barclays Bank USa sucks!

Visa card - I had a Visa card with them for one year. Wallet got stolen, I cancelled the card. They refused to re-issue me a new card, said I would have to re-apply, and would possibly be refused.

Was on hold with them for almost an hour, and they couldn't specifically explain why they wouldn't issue a new card.

I am one of those customers who pays on time, every month. My credit rating is 790. Even though they wouldn't give me a direct answer, I believe they denied a re-issue because of the simple fact they were not making money on me as a customer. It doesn't matter that they make money when they charge companies for the transaction. They also make money on the float, or time they hold on to the funds before they are disbursed.

Bunch of idiots, I will never deal with them again.

Heard about that with other companies. If you don't keep a balance they don't want you. So long as you pay their minimum they are happy. That way they make $'s for 20 years or more off a a $3,000 balance.
