Wow, amazing fish!

Simply Amazing - there is no other way to describe the Bluefin Tuna fishing right now in our local waters. Capt. Gene was at it again today with tuna slayer Don Murnane. Don was out with us two years ago in October and had one of those amazing double digit BFT days on the fly. The pressure was on today to do something BIG and something BIG they did.
The guys got to the grounds at 7 am and where the only ones there for a few hours - everytime they got lines in the water on the troll they were crushed, especially the blue and white Reel Seat Sand eel Feather Bar - we had every one we owned in the spread and they were getting hit three and four at a time. Patiently waiting for the fish to come up to cast with a fly, Don reeled in endless amounds of BFT on the light conventional gear until about 10:30 AM when the wind layed down the fish began to come up. The trolling gear quickly went away and within seconds of his first cast into breaking fish Don was hooked into a 52 inch Bluefin on a blue and white SKOK Mushmouth. After they landed the beast is was pure mayhem with fish everytime they pulled into a school!!
