    Default Bucktails - Brand Name

I was curious as to what brand name bucktails everyone uses?

Smilin bills are pretty well known, but I lose a lot, so I make my own. Cheaper.

I agree with what dogfish said, try to pay as little as possible for the bucktails, you will lose many of them if you are fishing them right.

Heres the brand name I use -"the one that works today" - and that changes depending on the weather and tide.

I think it's more important to focus on the size of the bucktails - the difference between a 1 oz and 2 oz may mean the difference between uyou catching and not catching. And of course, how you are working it.

I don't mean to disagree with you guys, all good points here. However, if you are after the big girls, you want something to hold up to them, and not have the hook straighten. I have been using Johnston's Great South Bay bucktails, and they are strong, and well-made.

Here's the link to the site, I think they are also listed here on this site.
