    Some friends are out on Lake Hopatcong today and texted these.....
    (no fish yet...IMO when the weather is this cold the best activity is at the end of day, after a 2 day sunny period, or right before the coming of a severe change in the weather)

    ^^ Same friends were out today on the lake, as of 12:30 they had 3 nice largemouths...dropping shiners from the tip-ups.
    This one I'll say was at least 5lbs, which is a real nice LMB...he estimated it at 6, but he didn't have a scale....still,. a real nice bass...

    Another friend on a NNJ lake yesterday, caught a 25" pickerel, among some other pickerel and bass. I would estimate this one around 5#, which is a very nice size for a NJ pickerel.
