Switched over to Porgies & we searched until we hit the motherload of some of the biggest Scup I have ever seen.

At one point Pilar says to me I need help getting these fish in the boat. I say they are Porgies, just flip them into the boat. I look over & actually had to get the net as she lifted two big ones in and the really big one falls off the hook. Quickly I put it in the net as it was in shock at boatside. Turned out to be a 4pound Porgy ! And she caught another one almost the same size. Lot's of fun this morning as we witnessed Porgies blitzing all over. Never had to net Porgies before. Limited out today...

I heard there was one school of porgies out in the channel that stretched for almost 2 miles. Those are some big dinner plates, thanks for posting that.

Default Cod massacre at Eastmans New Hampshire!

Did you guys hear about the cod slaughter at Eastmans? There were so many boats in one small area up there one crashed into another, taking out 4 rods and part of the handrail in the process.

    Some pics I found -

Yes I read that report as well. It seems the bite is over - this is the latest report.

"I heard all the unreal cod reports coming from NH,so i went up there to see it for myself.....and all i can say is the party is over the fish have spawned out and moved on...I have to time it better next year.I did manage 12 short cod and 2 cusk on jigs.pool fish was around 13 pounds and it was one of only a handful of keepers."
