    Default Hubilie 666 A3

This a Hubilie 666A3, from Omoto. This reel has a5.3:1 gear ratio, and 3x10x4 stock bearings, in the side plates. A feature I like. The spool is flanged, and it has a strong chrome/brass frame. The handle in the photo's is a newer Abu 700o power handle. I used this because of the width of the gear stem. A 6500 power handle would not fit on the stem. Which is fine. The stock drags will be replaced, maybe. The stem has a clicker gear, like the older Abu's. A nice feature. It has a dog/ratchet type A/R, like it's larger 777S3 cousin, and some Abu reels.
From what I can see, and if it's like the 777 I have, than this one will be a winner!

I'm sure the Jungles and the Hubilie's have the same guts.

    Default Cheif

    Hi JZ,

you have not mentioned about your fishing with the newest member of Omoto's reel fam.
I like mine but,I really prefer the bearings in the sideplate.
I will speak mor about the cheif/wavecaster at seasons end.
