    10. A few hours after you lay the grout down, sponge it off the tile areas with a decent sponge and bucket of warm water, smoothing the grout lines as you go.

    Not enough time, and the grout will peel off with the sponge. Wait a little linger. Too much time, and you'll be at how hard you have to work to get it off. Follloing instructions is good, but over time you get a sense of when it's set up right and you can start sponging it.

    11. Clean all your tools and equipment the day you do the job, no matter how tired you are. The other night, I went back to the job, and was cleaning stuff till 12:30 am because it had to be done. Leave it till the next morning and it will be twice as hard to clean.

    12. Once your job is done, place your saved molding carefully around the perimeter, and gently hammer it back. On a kitchen job, you might want to splurge on new molding, depending on the shape of the old. It's only 1/4 round anyway, not too expensive. Caulk any gaps, paint.

    Stand back and admire your work.
