Default Opening day on the Chesapeake report.4/18/09

Well saterday was opening day on the Chesapeake bay, and you Know me I had to fish!! Afriend had called and wanted to do some trolling and wanted to know if I wanted to go, well I'm a diehard surf fisherman but I'm not going to pass up a boat trip!!He said he had room for one more so I called Finaddict and it was a done deal, we were on the water by 8:30 and dropped the lines back and bang I landed the first fish 36" , but from there it got slowwwwwwwww we trolled all day(and half of the bay) until 6pm when the next fish hit and Harry a friend of mine landed his first ever striper@ 38" talk about happy. We weren't long getting our limit from there Harry Sr landed a 39", and morty finished of our limit with another36". Had a beautiful day and caught fish what more could you ask for..

    Here's a few pics.

    Finaddict has more pics also.

Looks like you won't be sending those our way, unless they're fillet and release. Great report, I can't wait till the big girls come.

Yeah I guess fillet and release does affect the mortality rate. Nice catch guys.
