    Default Batteries for Fish Finder

    Hey Guys!

I wanna find out how many of you guys using AA batteries and how many of you guys using 12 volt battery to power your Fish Finder.

This is a little help for beginers like me whos not sure about it. I've got a 12 volt battery but it feels too heavy for me (5.7LB) ,

If you use 8 AA battery , how long they last? Few Hrs or longer?

    Thank you everyone!!!

Lenny I asked a friend of mine and he uses the 12 volt. He said the other ways are ok but you will burn up a lot of money buying small batteries all the time. Then what happens if you want to put up a light or other accessories, you will be using more capacity. A marine battery is a good bet. There are some specialty makers that make them lighter for today's market, on google.

I use the AA setup. they last a long time, very light setup. 3 kayaks and two of them have that. in my opinion there is no better way.
