no see ums and nasty bugs

^^^^^ Well I tried listerine last night and it didn't work. Do you have to take a bath in it? I dabbed some on my arms and neck and still the greenheads, skeeters, and no see ums were biting me. so bad that I may not go back there till october. Fishing wasn't that great anyway some small blues.
Does anyone have any other remedies that work well? thanks

the brown Listerine works for me also use deep woods off

^^^thanks will give that a try next time. Will take a bath in it and put a rag soaked in it around my neck. Those sandy hook bugs are relentless at night. I may not go back till the fall as the fishing seems not really worth it. May be time to look at buying a boat.

I saw some in the back of the house yesterday! The neighbor lets his dog poop in the yard. I was doing some work near the fence and saw them feeding on the doggie doo.

Smoke a cigar or rub some liquid garlic from a vitamin capsule on you. The bugs won't like it.

Anyone ever try spraying themselves with Listerine mixed with water? Might try that next time and was wondering how effective it is. Thanks

Heads up the no see ums have been horrendus this year. With all the recent rains have not been able to hit the ocean. Hitting the sods instead. Lots of blues and small bass near creek mouths in ol barney. Some larger bass as well. To get to them you have to deal with hordes of noseeums. They are the worst I can remember in a long time. Relentless. Cover up if you are fishing the sods, or you will be sorry.

I tried that, it can work if the bugs aren't too bad.
