    hey, i wanna go with my dad on a seabass trip in the next month. Got an ugly stik tiger rod. We will be going on an inshore trip, not the long one. wanted to know if that pole is enough to handle the conditions. tks

    Depends on the current. If you are fishing near a full moon, you would be better off renting a boat pole. If it is calmer, less current, you might be ok with the tiger.

    What ledhead said. If you're talking about Bogan's inshore trips, you will be fishing in 50-100 feet. A meatier stick would help, but you might not need it. It really depends on the current and moon stage. Around full moon, current rips, you will need more weight to keep you where the fish are, so I would pick a stouter stick.
