    I always do.
I keep that in mind and in logbook.
I learn an area and then use the knowledge to my advantage and
I always watch some of the guys that look like they belong in a cabelas catalog and they don't catch any better because they have expensive gear.
then I make them watch me slam some steel to meat.
I hear them say what is he using?,,,some have even came over to see and they say "I can't believe these fish are hitting such a large plug".
well, they are chasing bunkers and bunkers are big so,it's kinda a simple idea to go large and it works.
very well said. They want to catch the fish but they don't want to do the work, thinking that the right gear and clothes will put them on a cow. Not true. always enjoy your reports, thanks for sharing

X2 half these tool bags with all the "right" gear have only been fishing for less than 5 yrs. I love the look on their faces when I outcatch them.

RP your reports are muchly enjoyed. Have been reading them for years. One question, do you catch them in the rain as well?

    TY Rock.
everyone has their own idea of what to do and when/where.
due to my experiences I do too.
I share what works for me and then my ideas on why it works.
    seems to make sense.

gotta love doing that,,,I sure do.
some of the guys I have fished with since my star say I can catch a fish in my own toilet.
I just apply one of the many techniques I have learned over the years to the situation that's all.

indeed it is a term of endearment and I smile and accept it.
then I wonder,if they are observant enough to see me do so well, why don't they see enough to do what I am doing?
I think it may be due to the tools I am using and they don't know when or how to change the way they fish.

I wonder why it is that we men don't want to learn new ways of doing things? Just ask our wives LMAO

After all the fish are already wet! LOL good point and congrats on the fish. Wish we had stripers with that much consistency by us but you get a week at a time and then it's dead.

thanks,,,the rivers hold fish much more in numbers and time wise too, thats one of my reasons I gave up on the surf and went for the rivers.
lots of real estate on the beaches which would have fish spread out and they could be anywhere.
