    Default Pulling them in

Sometimes when I am out on the Jetty it is difficult to pull up the bass. When you have this problem how do you get them in?

Some guys carry jetty gaffs, but it's not a great idea if you want to release the fish with a hole in them. Whenever I fish rocks, I use a shock leader tied to braid. This is not only to prevent losing the plug, but for me it helps that the leader takes the abrasion of the rocks, not the braid. If your leader is 24-30", you can swing the smaller fish up. If the fish is bigger, make sure you have korkers on, and find a flat rock near the water you can pull the bass up on and lip her between your thumb and forefinger. Or use your boga grip. Ideally, you would have this "landing" rock in mind when you start for the night. That way you will have less problems. Hope this helps.
