Thanks Albiealert! Yep I just started tying about a week ago. I have tied about 30 flies so far, but I really like these baitfish ones with the polar flash. I am going to tie a bunch in different colors.

Here is a pattern I like. I used the deceiver platform but then tied in polar flash for the top and silver baitfish emulator for the belly. Here is a pic of it dry and wet.

I just some new material in. pearl webbing ( I had some in white) but got some in yellow, blue, pink and purple. The colored versions of the pearl web should be called something else because they have little of the characteristics of the white. With that being said- I tied a bunker pattern to see how it would come out. I also got some white craft fur in to see if it will be a good synthetic bucktail (turns out my 9yr old son is allergic to the real hairs and feathers) . It is close. So I tied the craft fur on for the belly, then white pearl, then yellow, pink, purple and finished it off with black widow flash in black.







This fly is just a baitfish fly. I used real bucktail (I am hoping that since I kicked to the backroom with my stuff that my son wont be effected and I could keep on using the real stuff) white pearl (this stuff is great because if you hold it up and let the light pass through it it turns purple. If you block the light it gets a more green hue. Awesome stuff. finished it off with polar flash. for some reason I love the big eyes. I bought 1200 of them off of ebay so I got to use them up.

I noticed that to with the pearl web the silver and pearl has a straighter shape to it I wasn't fond of the other colors which as you mentioned are much more wavy I have no idea why but I prefer the straighter flash materials.

Me too. I like the white a lot. great for baitfish. I was hoping the other colors were straight too. Oh well you can't have it all! the colored ones do give a fly some volume though (if that is what you want) I think they should change the name to kinky hair....

sorry, I hope I am not annoying. But I trimmed my lil baitfish to make it look better and my wife has some spray glitter glue. I shot the top of my baitfish to give it more of a mullet look. I am curious how it will do in water.

This is the shniz-it. There are a ton of peanut bunker around now. perfect match. Throw it from back bay bulkheads and near bridges at night you should score.

less is more is what I always hear. It is also something I need to learn when tying. here are 2 flies. The top one is a peanut bunker, the bottom I figure could go either way- peanut bunker or mullet...what do you think? Tied on a clouser format.

out this morning got 2 short bass at 6:19 and again at 6:30. I had a couple taps in between. I was trying to get my buddies attention to come get on the fish but he was too far away and it caused me to not hook up anymore- next time he is on his own. Fishing an ava with green tube but they both hit on my clouser minnow teaser.
