I didn't catch them at Studio 54, but was at the infamous Felt Forum show when Slayer played.....

One of the most violent shows I've ever been to...
So bad that I had to get medieval and drop-kick a pit bully into oblivion, because he was harassing some kids smaller than him....I hate when the cycle of violence gets to that level.....


That show was so violent, $50,000 of damage done to the Felt Forum, that Slayer was never allowed back there again....


but it was also when Slayer was at their best, IMO....no one came close to the insanity of a Slayer show at that time...

This is Slayer performing 'Altar of Sacrifice - Jesus Saves' at the Felt Forum in NYC, 88. This show turned into an ugly mess when fans tore out their seats and started throwing around seat cushions. This show has become know as 'the seat cushion riot'.
