rocks and reds, that schoolbus is amazing, do you know the guy who owns that? I wondered how much it might cost to set up a similar rig.
Here is another school bus type rig I found a VW
Nice, paco, tires could be a little bigger though.
crosseyed bass thanks for posting those vintage ads. With the economy being the way it is, it's nice to see how simple things were 40 or 50 years ago. They managed to get out to the beach and enjoy it without all the bells and whistles that people feel they must have today. Hats off to the fishermen of the past who roughed it in the truest sense of the word.
Some of the nicer ones I seen this year
Nice rig there CEB.
Pluggin Pete thanks for posting that it was awesome!
Here is a vintage toyota landcruiser, one sweet ride. Moco NJ.
Hookset that is one sweet Land Cruiser. That is so cherry I doubt it ever hits the beach. Look at the paint job, flawless.
Here is one I copied from the monmouth beach surf cam a few days ago. I ddn't know they let them on in that town. what an innovative way to hit the beach.
plug it's hard to tell from that pic, but there is a buggy like that in the Asbury lot at night that looks like its twin. I think the one at the Asbury lot says "maintenance" so maybe it's a guy who works maintenance in one of the buildings down there. To get to monmouth beach from there is about 5-8 miles so i don't know if he would be the one. That's quite a ride unlless he put it on the back of a pickup and brought it that way.
