    Default Shrink Wrap

A friend of mine never got around to wrapping his boat yet. He is having trouble with the $. What can he do besides the shrink wrap?

Did he at least winterize the engine?

And at least throw a tarp over it

Boats have been around long before shrink wrap. Make sure he throws a tarp over it and maybe spray down any wiring and linkages with WD-40. This will keep the moisture that may accumulate under the tarp from doing any damage.

I don't have a boat but this would make sense to do.

Make sure he uses some 2x4's or similar to give the tarp a pitch.

Also, it's best to store the boat with the prop in the down position...all the way down.

Also, if he can, he should take out any of the seats and cushions he can and store them inside for the winter. This helps to keep them from cracking and splitting

Make sure the boat is angled properly so if any water gets in that it will drain out the back. Also, try to keep any snow load off the windshield
