If there is nothing but small bass around would you downsize your tackle so you can release more quickly or would you continue to fish as you have been?

I am not sure I understand what you mean by down sizing to release more quickly? I am usually walking a good distance while I fish, so I would use the tackle I went with (1 rod/1 reel). The rods/reels I use I am never over matched by a small bass. Small bass are always landed relatively quickly and released.

I also go with equipment that can handle bigger bass. I crank in small fish to release quickly.
at this time of the year i do down size rod reel and lures or baits i have a small 7 ft setup i use after march i go up in size 9 ft to 10 ft rods
