Its also a good idea to put tape marks on your rod if fishing for striped bass. This makes it easy to see if they are legal size without bringing out a tape measure and is a lot quicker to get them back into the water if you are not keeping them.

^^^ Most of my rods have marks at 17.5 for fluke and 28 and 32" for bass. I agree clamchucker it makes it a lot easier that way and gives the throwbacks a better chance at survival.
A big problem where I fish is the immigrants on the piers and harbors. This link is for the NJ 2013 regs. I wish they had it printed at every place that would clear things up for a lot of people.
