Bababooey, we never see too many chunks. Most of the time it's little pieces, like G said. Ya can't tell if it's brown pieces of bulkhead or something else...

Also, ya never know if that bass you catch in the back of LI Sound or the front of Point Pleasant wasn't nose deep in crap and toxic muck 2 weeks before at the foot of a big river somewhere.

Hooked up with G tonight and fished a Dirty Water spot.
The wind was blowing from the NE. The water was a little cloudy, but not chocolate milk like some of the bays. The water was relatively warm compared to the bays and got up to around 50.

There's only one bait they use there right now. If ya don't bring a pitchfork with ya you might as well go home.

Throughout the day some small fish were caught, maybe a dozen or more, no keepers today.
Here's a 26" fish caught and quickly returned.

We fished the whole flood tide until slack. A few missed hits was all that was in the cards for us.

Some spearing have started to filter in, but not in great concentrations. I got a little bored and started to fish spearing profile plugs. Also fished lightweight spearing profiile rubber jigs, nothing. We still had a good time.

I feel with the small bass and an occasional keeper, it can get better with the bunker coming in.

    Happy Easter to all!

Dirty Water jokes. The guys down there had a pet rat they would attach to someone as they were walking away and try to freak people out with.

    Yup I'm googan and proud.
Damn your eyesight is good, that's why you can spot those crows so well.
