NJ fishing reports for May 1-14, 2010

So we went back out last night in the back bay. Water was calm and a slight warm breeze. Hour into the out going started getting hits and managed 1 keeper. 2 hours into the out going they really started hitting and we ran out of clam right after mrs cardoc got a really nice hit. I am sooooo beat from walking the sand and wading out all day yesterday and last night. Didn't see any blues last night and mrs cardoc saw a fish come to the top of the water and make a big swirl.

Hope you feel better pebbles. We still need to get out there.

Fished early morning at SH. Pulled in one keeper on a bucktail.

First i went 3 hours without a bite, moved the ship/ aka my feet about 15 miles north, I found a ton of 16-21" bass boiling the bay waters on the outgoing tide. Got a bunch of them fiesty suckers, a lot were even picky even with one of the largest amount of surface activity and poping ive ever seen. A near by spot had a couple of fish that didnt look like toys in the 25-28", think i got 4 in that model size. Struck out looking for ocean side blues at first light
