    A few I tied this morning a different style p-nut a wider body sea robin and a couple larger surf candies.

    Nice job on the sea robin, Surfstix. They were spawning a month ago. In the coming few months a lot of small ones will be in the surf line, that's a great job of matching the hatch.

    Yes sir thats exactly where I like to fish them for fluke if you have a good dropoff on the beach just cast it out w/as light of a weight as you can and do slow drags across the bottom drag and wait a second or two then start to drag again and repeat when you get to the dropoff they usually bang it.I watched the juvie searobins smacking shrimp in the surfline so that teaser w/ a shrimp pattern in front of it will do the trick.Nice easy fishing if the plugging is dead use a light rod & tip it w/a bunker strip or squid my wife is a killer at it off the beach the key is a drop off on the beach and incoming water when they start to head back inshore w/ the bait.
