I do know the towel trick. This particular bird hit my plug as soon as it landed. Pretty far out. I couldn't get him in. Trust me, I felt really bad.

That thing is huge Monty, maybe the remains of an ocean sunfish?


Here is something I found up at the Hook a little while ago. Looks like some kind of large sea bass that came from the netters, or maybe a small sunfish, it was about 3' long.

Thanks SS. I used to be a professional photographer- can't help but to throw a little art into the image. If I had photoshop on my laptop I would have really dressed it up lol!

Here are a few pics from the last two fishing trips. Considering the miles I covered fishing with Dark, you would have thought I could fill a cemetery.





Then this one Dark found. It was easily 4 foot long. Some how while fishing in daylight I walked past it and didn't see it .

I'm having a difficult time getting out there now. This thing called work is getting in the way. Early May things should pick up big time (stuff just dies in May (that old saying "April showers bring May Dead Stuff )).

Agreed. we need a couple good noreasters to tear stuff up and wash those dead creatures up on the beach

Have been walking the beaches too and haven't seen much. More crowds are coming every day. Wish dead worm boxes and clam bags counted I would win this contest for sure.
