Default Coast Guard rescues kayaker near Cape May aft she falls asleep and drifts into marsh

This might seem pretty stupid, but if the tide was coming in she could have gotten out of there if she just waited an hour, no?

CAPE MAY — The Coast Guard rescued a kayaker in Spicer’s Creek on Friday after she reportedly fell asleep and drifted into a marshy area.
The woman, identified as Angela Ferri, used a cell phone to call Lower Township firefighters at about 1:50 p.m, Coast Guard Petty Officer Crystalynn A. Kneen said. The firefighters then contacted the Coast Guard base in Cape May.
Ferri told rescuers she fell asleep and drifted into un-navigable waters as the tide was beginning to come back in. Two crew members from Coast Guard Station Cape May walked through the marshland to retrieve Ferri and her kayak. Ferri was not injured.

She is lucky. Anything could have happened out there.

I don't want this to sound sexist. I feel all people fishing in isolated spots should fish with a friend if possible. Glad to hear that she's ok.
