    Default Carp & Crows

Thought I'd stop by the river today and see if I could hook a carp or two:

Of course the dog goes with:

No carp, but it was a beautiful couple of hours down there. There was an osprey diving for fish. I kept trying to get a photo for you all but missed every time. The closest I got was this one; you can kinda see the splash - he's in there somewhere:

I brought an 870 just in case. But I really shoulda brought the .22 lr or even the .223:

PP eat your heart out! I bet you woulda had a double on this one:

    Thanks for reading!

I always enjoy your pic-stories, Jon. They're kinda like mini-documentaries. And the size of the pics brings them in such great detail, amazing color.

    Thanks for sharing with us.

Can you kill 2 birds with one stone?
You can see 2 birds in the last 3 pics.
Think you could reach them with a wrist rocket?

ha yeah that would be one helluva wrist rocket shot. you can kinda get an idea of the range from the first photo.

there's actually 4 crows in the last photo. you can just make out the top of the head of the fourth crow behind the highest crow.

my buddy puppypopper loves "crow sniping" so i thought I'd taunt him with this post ha ha

thanks Rich. Got a new camera last month; an unknown family member dropped our old one, a nice one given to us by the in-laws.

but snap! i got one online from wally world for $139 that's way better than the old one.

plus, they said that if you got their walmart card, they'd give you $20 off.

    they lied.

ps trying to figure out how to swing a mini-documentary trip up north. the issue of the moment is keeping my frickin intestines in. the truss worked great all last week but today it's worse than worthless. life is tough enuf without having your guts popping out at inopportune moments:

Hey what's the biggest carp you ever pulled out of that water there? Don't fall off that roof, guy!
