Default State record striper caught by 12 year old stephen furlough of roper, nc.

STATE RECORD STRIPER CAUGHT BY 12 YEAR OLD STEPHEN FURLOUGH OF ROPER, NC. Stephen caught a 63 lb striped bass just off of Oregon Inlet this afternoon. Previous state record was 62 pounds. Filling out the paperwork for the state to confirm this beautiful fish. All of the boats that left the dock today came in with limits including some nice citations. Ben & Lauren Shelton of Williamston caught their limit including citations 42lb and 39lb stripers. Once again I can't get the camera to behave itself. Will post the pics tomorrow. Tune in for some great pics

Congrats to that kid on a fish of a lifetime!
My only question is, what does he do for an encore?

Mixed feelings on this. Great once of a lifetime catches. Shame to take those huge producing breeders out of stock.

    Another advertisement for slot limits.

Yeah I agree too many big girls get taken out, but the kid is 12, that's his fish of a lifetime. Honestly, if I got that fish it would be coming home with me too. Great catch kid!

Default Stop killing the big breeders!

Even though I put that in my title, it's still a great achievement.

That fish's gut looked like it had 10 bunkers in it. Huge.
