Default Boat: Fishing boat that sank is lifted from Manasquan Inlet

They got it out of there, after almost a month.

BOAT: Fishing boat that sank is lifted from Mansquan Inlet Asbury Park Press pressofAtlanticCity.com | 0 comments

What remains of 64-foot fishing boat the Atlantic Traveler was removed Monday afternoon from the ocean on the south side of the Manasquan Inlet off Point Pleasant Beach by a crane from Donjon Marin.

The boat washed onto the inlet rocks May 11 when it lost hydraulic power. The three crew members were rescued. The sinking forced the closure of the heavily traveled waterway for several days, until strong winds and currents moved it off the tip of the inlet jetty to a sandy area in front of the beach south of the rocks. At right, cables are attached to the keel, and workers clean wreckage debris from the beach.

A pretty decent aticle about the boat salvage, with pics and video.
It took 3 weeks to get a favorable window to remove that boat.

(And I still don't have my pics of the salvage posted up, shame on me. )

Also, remember the date, June 6. 2011.
For those of you who keep fishing logs, put it in your log, if it's not there already.
It's the one that is being described as "2011's epic best for the spring run" for surf and boat guys, along the NJ Coast, for years to come.
