Default Kayak Safety: Trying to Plan a Trip by Looking at Wind Patterns...

If you are a ner kayaker, or even a seasoned one, the wind and the forecast should factor into each and every trip you make.

There are some times I will bail on a planned trip if I don't feel comfortable. Some of you guys out there may feel there is loss of respect, or cowardice involved, in doing that.

I'm writing this to encourage folks to always put safety as the first and paramount objective.
There is no shame in abandoning a planned trip because you are not comfortable with the conditions.

I'll try to explain some of them.
If other folks have suggestions on how to deal with the wind, please feel free to post up...
