Penn battle - help needed!

dusted off my gear today as i plan to head out tomorrow after work only to find out something is wrong with 1 of my reels. when i turn the handle it sounds like the drag is open and being pulled out and the spool does not go up and down. wondering if it is a sand issue but i dont see how as i never got sand on it

I don't know because it could be a couple of things.
Is your reel handle tightened down all the way?
Is your drag set correctly?
Have you been using this reel before or did you take it out now for the first time this season?
Not really sure, just some thoughts.

sounds like reel got dunked and seized

i have used it a few times. maybe a handfull. worked fine and did not get wet other then when i rinse it with the hose. last time out everything was fine. drag and handle r okay. looking closely on the bottom of the reel i can actually see a few sand particles in a small space where the spool spins. i guess its shot huh? i will make a short video later today and post.
