Pebbles and I took a road trip to Rhody yesterday. We covered most of the shoreline from Narragansett to Watch Hill...,IMO Rhode Island has some of the most beautiful rocky shoreline on the East Coast....

We started at Watch Hill. Surrounded by an upscale neighborhood, beautiful rocky structure...
The Light house framed by the neighborhood trees....
Some tasty surf....there were only 6 guys fishing the whole stretch on a Sunday afternoon.....that in itself is heaven....
The birds and fish were just beyond the last breaker....slow pick.....

Sometime in the near future there will be some pics with lots of white water....
I predict that at some time late in the night, Monty will sign on and start clicking on these pics,,,,,he will then get wood and start
over them....
His wife will wake up, ask him what he is doing with his wood on a computer in the middle of the night....and it will get ugly......
He will stammer out some excuse about how you know crazy that guy Rich is...and I just had to look at the pics of the white water.....
Hiis wife (having met me)will grudgingly accept his feeble excuses and the drool running down the side of his mouth.....
But she will have him scheduled for counselling within a week of catching him late at night,,,,,on his computer.....getting wood over some white water...
The guy below is hooked up.........

Pebbles was with me and sometimes she's shy about meeting my friends....
Sundays are our "Date Day" and I try not to focus on fishing....just took those pics because we happened to be there and they were catching....
Will do it another time when I'm by myself...
Or next Spring when the fishing is better....

Being there and seeing that water and taking those pics and not being able to fish would drive me bonkers.

^^ Monty, good point...it was extremely tough to be there and not fish......I tried not to let her see the drool running down the side of my face...
What I have come to realize about relationships, is that Pebbles needs to see she is more important to me, than the fish.....
She has put up with my craziness for a good number of years....I don't know how that poor girl managed to keep up....it ain't a picnic knowing me sometimes........and yet all through the years she is still with me.....love that girl....
She is the bright sunshine to my darkest days....and her voice, and laugh, are something I don't want to be without.....
I'm glad God made it so our paths would cross......
And the screw up that I am....there have been times when I didn't express my thoughts on this....so I have no problem saying it now....
That's why sometimes when our date day intersects various shore areas.....I'm tempted to throw gear in the car....but I don't.....you all know I have spent enough time fishing out there...even sleeping in my car at times to be able to take advantage of a hot bite,,,,for a whole weekend....
She has never once hassled me about this.....
as I get older it becomes more apparent to me....how precious that is, to have in a relationship.......
So I don't bring my gear, to show her that she can be the focus of my day as well.....that, and date day, has helped our relationship a lot....and we have great times and laughs together........
**For any of you people out there, who are getting in a rut in their relationships, taking each other for granted.....I wouid recommend something like date day, once a week...it has really helped ours.....
