    Is an oarfish a big eel? This was caught in Catalina in Oct.

    wow in 1860 they were using that thing? If I was living back then I would have been afraid of it and called it a seamonster or something. thaks for sharing that.

    They salted a lot of food back then. Maybe they salted it like cod?
