Coast Guard rescues man who collasped after scuba diving near Shark River Sunday morning

NEPTUNE — A 44-year-old man was rescued by the Coast Guard Sunday after he collapsed aboard the recreational boat Ol' Salty, according to Coast Guard officials.
The man collapsed after scuba diving at 10:52 this morning, 15 nautical miles east of Shark River, the Coast Guard said. CPR and oxygen were administered by members of the crew.
A 47-foot Motor Life Boat crew from the guard's station in Manasquan Inlet arrived on scene and transferred the unresponsive man to the guard station in Shark River where he was then taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune.
