Please post fishing reports here.......as little or as much detail as you want to give.
Please note: NO SPOT BURNING! Posts burning spots will be Edited or DELETED!
Some veteran fishermen have put in years developing and learning about certain spots. Some of these spots can only handle a few guys at a time. We are losing enough access as it is, due to the unfortunate behavior of a few selfish people. No sense in making it worse.
For some areas, it would be wiser to say:
OutFront (Ocean) OR -- OutBack (Bay) -- if you feel too many people will figure out what you are talking about. "Spot burning" also could involve mentioning something specific only to that area. If you do this, your post may be edited, or deleted. Remember that thousands of people could potentially read these posts. You don't want to be fishing next to ALL of them at the same time!
IF you are fishing an area that is NOT residential, being vague is less critical. For example, it's acceptable to say (Any)Park, or (Any)Bay, or mention a specific state park that has loads of parking and can handle the crowds.
If you are unclear on this concept, ask yourself:
If I name this place on the internet, will it be too crowded for me to enjoy tomorrow when people hear I got 30 fish here today?
If the answer is "Yes", then you should probably not be so specific.

We post these reports so our community will have a sense of what is working, what is not. We want to show people how to catch fish, rather than where.Even if you struck out or got skunked, it would be helpful to hear that as well.
If you have any additional details you would like to share - weather conditions, tide (incoming, outgoing, ebb, flood) water temps, bait present, or other mention of techniques or plugs used - feel free.

This month we're giving out plugs from Ace Baits, or something similar.

We fished by the breesy pont last night and got 5 stripers on bunker, they were small and we put them back, we also got a shark and a sting ray.
-
NS spot today, I fished near high to the end of incoming. A few small cocktails on metal. There was a lot of bait (spearing) about 30 feet out.
-
Fished Jones from 6 to 8, it was like the dead sea out there. One short fluke.
-
Fished an inlet this morning with tin. Got 4 taylor bluefish at sunrise.
Darkskies, I just got the plug you sent me, thank you very much!
-
Fished the north shore last night. Was out there for about an hour even before I got a tap. By the end of the night I had 2 blues on my line.
-
We fished the middle grounds today and a few other places on the sound. Trolled one small blue on a stretch plug, then 2 more mediums on chunks. No bass. Not much other action, couldn't find the bunker either.
-
Fished jones after work till 8:30, 2 runt stripers on a small krocodile.
-
Fished the NS again today for a few hours. There was lots of small bait out there. Caught a blue.
-
Couple cocktails on small crocs this morning, ns sand beach.
-
A few more blues this morning, NS on small metal. There was a lot of whitebait being chased around sunrise.
-
Brought some clams and sandworms for the sunrise bite, fished near an inlet. One trigger, and a few small porgies. Couldn't find any bluefish on metal.
-
Great fishing yesterday E of Moriches in 60'. We almost limited out on fluke, and got a mess of tasty large sea bass. Good day on the water.
-
Caught myself a few short fluke yesterday afternoon on the NS. Fishing in 30' of water near some structure, the bite seemed off a bit. Also got 5 porgies, 2 keepers.
-
Fished out east today, shooting for big bass. I managed one runt and a few nice blues on tin. There was small bait all over in close, and the blues were running through them.
-
Fished the outgoing last night at Jones. I had a few blues on bunker.
-
Made it to Montauk for the sunrise bite. Wasn't much of a bite, but I did get 2 small bass on bucktail and grub. Felt good to be there, right time of year, but the water was warm to the touch. Another week or so of rain should help mix things up.
-
Went back out to Jones beach last night for the outgoing.
-
A buddy has been nailing them at in inlet around dawn. We teamed up this morning to catch 21 small blues near sunrise, on the incoming. We used tins and small bucktails with pork. Small bait was everywhere, they were murdering it.
