Guys in the Sound are calling this the year of the bunker, Roddy, more adult bunker than they have seen in years....hope you're ready for the fall.... nice work.
Thanks for posting Monty.
Nice work. could you throw them with a regular spinning pole or do you need a thick conventional?

Another thing to think about....
If you fish current or rips, some of the favorite waters of Rip-Plugger...there is a lot of drag from the current...
As he and others said, you can do it with a spinning setup.
There is a recent emphasis on getting bigger fish with spinning gear, and a lot of guys consider it a badge of honor to bring in a large fish on spinning gear,,,,tuna, large bass, etc....
But if there is a chance you will be releasing the fish..... if you end up in a battle over 5 minutes with the fish, chances are (depending on the water temps) you release that fish, and 1/2 hour later it will be floating dead somewhere....
Just something to think about guys....
Learn from the old timers,,,,
When you start to target bigger fish in current, bring the conventionals for the big girls.....

Here (top two pics) is a Fat Cat that Rip-Plugger sent me. I put a sparkly top coat of Epoxy on it. It comes in at 4 oz.
