Sounds like a blast! My last trip up there was about 8 years ago with a cousin of mine who has since passed on. Great memories although as you said it was snowy and nasty. I think it was 12 degrees that one morning. He fished like a machine, moving quickly from one spot to the next. We must have covered the 2 mile section we were fishing several times, all in 2' deep snow.
I nicknamed him "The Borg" because of the speed he moved at. Now, when people who fish with me complain about all the moving around I do and how tired they get, I have to laugh as I know folks who are way more intense.....
