Some of the migratory fish that were running through last week...before the N/NE wind dirtied up the surf.....

Nice mid teens surf bass, got this shot as he was in the parking lot getting ready to leave......










And a shot of a surfcaster on the rocks before sunrise.....At first I thought it was JoesFishinProblem but I think he might be in Rhody right now....

@ Darkskies- do you still take the kids out fishing? That's pretty cool. I keep threating my kids (since they don't like fishing) that I am going to join big brother and take kids out, LOL! I hope my kids (particularly my 9yr old son) gets the fishing bug. We are vacationing on a lake this summer- I will be taking them fishing (surprisingly they all agreed) hopefully they love it. MEntal note to myself- KEEP IT FUN FOR THEM!!!!!

Rob, I haven't taken kids fishing in quite some time....
It's something I regret as I want to pass on some of my knowledge before I get old and senile....in the same manner it was passed on to me....
The kids I used to take have gotten older, and as a natural progression in things have had other interests become more important....

I understand that,,,,,don't know how so many 20 somethings are addicted to fishing now.....for me those were the party years and some of the wildest times of my young adult life...fishing was something I did when I couldn't line up any females to hang out with for that night....









The best thing I can offer you with your children....IMO fishing is something that can't be forced,.,,,,,,if they're going to develop an interest it will come naturally...the nicest thing, if you get anything out of it at all., is memories they will have of getting out with their Dad and away from the electronic world some kids seem to live in nowadays.....

Good luck with your fishing trip to the lake....if they catch any fish post some pics in a thread....and if they develop an interest I'll send them some freshwater lures....have a ton of stuff I'll never get to use....and fun for them to try....good luck, be patient, and keep us posted.......

Road trip to Rhody....Pebbles and I drove up there on Oct 13.....
Here's two...will post the rest when I can.......

We started at Watch Hill. Surrounded by an upscale neighborhood, beautiful rocky structure...

Some tasty surf....there were only 6 guys fishing the whole stretch on a Sunday afternoon.....that in itself is heaven....
The birds and fish were just beyond the last breaker....slow pick.....












** Spoiler alert......
Sometime in the near future there will be some pics with lots of white water....
I predict that at some time late in the night, Monty will sign on and start clicking on these pics,,,,,he will then get wood and start over them....
His wife will wake up, ask him what he is doing with his wood on a computer in the middle of the night....and it will get ugly......

He will stammer out some excuse about how you know crazy that guy Rich is...and I just had to look at the pics of the white water.....
Hiis wife (having met me) will grudgingly accept his feeble excuses and the drool running down the side of his mouth.....
But she will have him scheduled for counselling within a week of catching him late at night,,,,,on his computer.....getting wood over some white water...
