Default 2nd batch! Think im getting a lil better!

SO didnt fish last night and tied these up..I remebered to use less hair and less thread..I think they came out pretty decent! 1 pic wet the other dry! Quick question do you guys buy hooks in bulk? Its got to be cheaper than buying them by the pack(10 in a pack)

    They look good.

Is that the Mustad 34007 hooks?

Cool they look just like rainfish or small sandeels. What size hooks are you using?

    Nice.

I really like those hooks but as you said they are pricey!

They have a super sharp point that WONT roll over and stays sharp.

The model below has a bigger gap between shank and hook point. (This is the hook I tied on the sand eel fly that I gave you - size 2/0).
SP11-3L3H Perfect Bend Saltwater Series Fly Hook

I am going to try these next:
SC15 Wide Gap Saltwater Series Fly Hook

I already use the SC12 and like that, the SC15 is supposedly the same just a heavier gauge.

A much cheaper alternative to the hooks your using is the Mustad 3407DT (forged hook just like what you find in a bucktail but without the 60 or 90 degree bend in the eye).
They have the same style/bend the only difference is the 3407DT needs to be sharpened right out of the package and after catching multiple fish (just like a jig head).
The 3407DT is what I have seen on most commercially sold teasers.

The 34007 is the same as the 3407DT with the exception that it is a stainless hook and very prone to failing on a tight drag.

Save me a teaser I want one
