have any of you guys seen any peanut bunker? A buddy of mine was fishing in Long Island last week and he saw them. I'm thinking they have to be here too.

They are here and in the back of Raritan Bay. Have been around for a few weeks now. Check the marinas in the morning and near sunset, high tide.
lots of peanuts they r still small tho, i kno of 2 marinas that they come in on the top tide like voyager said.
One of the strangest things of the last 2 years is the low amount of peanuts and tons of adult bunker Peanuts= weakies and nice fluke bait lets hope for some
dude the peanuts r gettin bigger, but no weakies or bluefish on em yet.
We netted some nice ones this morning, between 3-5". Our largest fluke came from using large peanut bunker.
They are early this year guys. At most of the harbor areas. They come in around high tide. The blues and fluke will have a feast this summer. They should be 9-10" by fall, are about 1" now.
awesome!
Great pics maddcaster thanks for sharing.
Keyport harbor has a lot of peanuts and snappers in case any one wants to tale the kids.
Barnegat lagoons too.
Had to do some searching to find this thread. Wahts up with that DS?
It appears the last time the peanut bunker got here early it was 2012 according to what madcaster reported. Well I'm letting you fellas know they are here in the RB now. We had small blues and fluke rising and hitting them right around dark. Bring on the bigger fish. By fall it will be smorgasbord time.
