We got plenty of safe ice on the small ponds. I've been fishing this one pond that has had 5"+ since the first day we tried it on 12/26.

Going to give it a shot tomorrow I'll let you guys know.

4.5-5" of ice on a small lake in Bergen county today

Ice fishing was red hot this morning. Ran out of bait by 9:30am (4 dozen shiners)!

I came back to look at those pics again, and wanted to say thank you. A little more than 30 days and we can fish for stripers again. Hoo rah!

Yup yup now its less than 30. A few winter shows to see and it will be striper time again.
