10 years ago dark was obsessed about clams. Kept stashes of them hidden all over the bay in case the belford guy ran out. When we ran out when the bite was hot at night he would take a short ride and magically come back with some. Don't know how he did it but he saved us more than a few times. Sometimes the bite was so good we had to cut the clams in half to keep fishing. He said stank clams were the best. I know he doesn't fish them now but he was up there with Swiss, Yamo and the rest of them with his clam catches. Now I see he was holding out on us. We should have been using bread.

^^^^^ cool looking pic. Speaking of black, has anyone seen the black ducks around lately? I think they are called loons? They are diving near the inlets but no bigger fish are around. what bait do you suppose they are diving on at this time of year?

Yes they are loons. Some of the last birds of the year. Not sure what they eat in your area. In my area they dive on whitebait and small crabs.
    A little about them

Swan rescue to add to the saga. Figure it's about time for dark to make an appearance and start documenting the swan life again lol.

Saw this video of northern gannets and heard they were all over the bay. Lots of bunker, or is it herring too?
