EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP — An intended drug deal ended with two out-of town women standing naked on a dirt road, their purses dumped and their money taken.
Neither of the women, ages 21 and 25, were hurt in the Sunday morning incident that police say began when they approached a man in Atlantic City looking to buy marijuana. He took the pair to a dirt road in Egg Harbor Township near Atlantic City International Airport, pulled a gun and forced them to strip before robbing them.
After the gunman left, the woman got dressed and called 911 from a cell phone. Police are searching for the suspect.
Holdup attempted, but bank is closed By DAVID LEVINSKY

CINNAMINSON — A string of attempted robberies at Burlington County banks continued yesterday when two men wearing masks and hoods tried to enter a Route 130 bank, police said.
According to investigators, the incident took place just after 8 a.m. at the Beneficial Bank branch on Route 130 and Highland Avenue.
The bank lobby was closed at the time, and the outer doors were locked, but bank employees saw the men try to pull open the locked doors, police said. One of the men appeared to be armed with a weapon, possibly a handgun, police said.
The men were unable to enter the lobby and were last seen running into a wooded area near Columbia Avenue, police said.
Police officers searched the surrounding area and could not locate any suspects.
Investigators aren't sure why the men tried to rob a bank while it was closed, but suspect they may have been confused about the bank's operating hours.
“The drive-thru opens at 8 a.m. but the lobby doesn't until 9, so they may have been confused,” said Lt. Robert Martens, spokesman for Cinnaminson police.
GREENFIELD — Police have arrested a Greenfield man for allegedly arranging to sell his 14-year-old daughter into marriage in exchange for $16,000, 100 cases of beer and several cases of meat.
Police said they only learned of the deal after the 36-year-old man went to them to get his daughter back because payment wasn't made as promised. The man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of human trafficking.
Officers also arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of statutory rape. Investigators believe the girl went willingly with the man, but she's under California's legal age of consent and can't legally marry.
Police say arranged marriages involving underage girls have become a problem in this small Central Coast farming community.
ORANGEBURG, S.C. – South Carolina authorities said a fishing crook never had a chance to land the big one. Police told The Times and Democrat of Orangeburg a robber tried to steal money bags from a bank's night deposit drop box using fishing line and hooks.
Authorities said employees at a First Citizen's Bank in Orangeburg found a fishing hook in a bag last Friday morning and at least two other hooks in the box. One hook still had a small piece of fishing line attached.
The bank said it has security footage of the would-be angler.
Police said the crook's task was impossible because the night deposit boxes are set up with trap doors so that once bags are dropped in, they can't be taken out the same way.
